Service Overview

 
 

MiFamily Together at Family & Children Services provides responsive, home-based support designed to strengthen families, protect children and help prevent unnecessary out of-home placement—or support a successful reunification when children are returning home.

Whether a family needs immediate help during a crisis or additional support to build long-term stability, our team meets families where they are and works alongside them toward a stronger
future.

Eligibility and Referrals

 
 

Families First is a referral-based, voluntary program serving:

  • Have current or recent CPS involvement
  • Are preparing for or have recently reunified
  • Have an MDHHS-supervised delinquency case
  • Are caring for children placed with relatives
  • Are connected with a federally recognized Native American Tribe or Band
  • Are referred by a domestic violence shelter
  • Are referred through a Post Adoption Resource Center (PARC)
  • Have a youth at risk of leaving the family home because of family conflict
