We were thrilled to spend time at @walmartgullroad this week to accept a donation to our HANDLE WITH CARE Annual Fund, our fund that meets immediate needs and provides direct client services when there is no other source in the community.

For 121 years, Family & Children Services has provided a continuum of care for youth and families in Southwestern Michigan. We have been able to serve the most under resourced in our community because of partners like Walmart.

Thank you Walmart #5064 on Gull Road, for your continued partnership and congratulations on your grand re-opening of the store!

TIMBo (Trauma Informed Mind Body program) is a research-backed program designed specifically to help women cope with chronic anxiety, depression, and PTSD. It is part peer support group, part yoga class.

The program focuses on the person's present life — not the past trauma — and how their overactive or under-active nervous system impacts their current relationships and everyday life.

TIMBo at Family & Children Services is a nine-week program limited to 12 participants. It will be held on Monday evenings from 6:00 – 7:30 pm starting September 9, 2024, with the last class on November 18. The registration deadline will be 9/1/24.

If you’d like to sign up, please contact Mary Beth Thomas: (email) mbtayoga.com or (call) 269-217-5584. For more information, please visit mbtyoga.com.
