I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience providing clinical services, mental health leadership, and family support within community-based and early childhood programs. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to improving the well-being of children, families, and communities through trauma-informed care, advocacy, education, and program development.
I currently serve as the Health and Mental Health Services Director for Tri-County Council for Child Development, where I oversee children’s physical health, nutrition, mental health, and disability services. In this role, I provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, develops community partnerships, analyzes program data, and supports families and staff through training, consultation, and reflective supervision.
In addition to my leadership responsibilities, I maintain an active clinical practice as a Clinical Social Worker with The Counseling Center. I provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services for children and adults, with a particular focus on supporting children who have experienced trauma. I am also committed to developing future social work professionals through the supervision of Master of Social Work interns in partnership with Western Michigan University.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree with a clinical concentration from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University. I also hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in Probation, Corrections, and Parole from Lake Michigan College. My professional training includes coursework in SPADA, Management of Health Care Systems, American Red Cross Instructor certification.
