  • Purchasing beds for children who had only experienced sleeping on the floor or couch.
  • Utility assistance for a single mother faced with a choice between buying diapers for her baby or paying her electric bill.
  • Trauma treatment for a small child who witnessed the horror of her father’s death and experienced post-traumatic stress.
  • Parenting education and coaching interventions for a family whose children were at risk of entering foster care.

HANDLE WITH CARE has been a hard-working vehicle for community support for decades, providing what’s most needed, right when the need is made known. The objective is to help avoid an immediate crisis, thereby removing obstacles to success.

The fund has helped thousands of individuals and families in so many ways. The range of supports includes paying for essential appliances, auto repairs, beds, childhood enrichment, clothing, educational supplies and tutoring, funeral expenses, basic furniture, household necessities, medical expenses, pest remediation, transportation, rent and mortgage payments, trauma treatment, and utility payments.
