We all seek and yet struggle to make change. The reasons for these struggles are vast. Change is difficult, and yet we all desire it in some way. We may seek to better our own lives, the lives of our children, the quality of our relationships, or our perceptions of our place in the world. Reaching out for help is one of the great advantages you can give yourself when you seek change. Reading this may be your first step, I aim only to help aid you in taking the next. Together we will create goals and model treatment around your own personal, cultural, spiritual, and unique attributes so we may learn from each other while getting your life closer to version you have always envisioned.
I enjoy working with youth and adolescents who are struggling with behavioral and mental health issues that are impacting their lives at home, school, and in the community. My approach involves hands on work from parents and guardians that aims to give all involved the proper tools to manage presenting issues.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Olivet College and a Master of Social Work Degree from Western Michigan University.
For the past 10 years I have been involved in the teaching, coaching, counseling, and development of children, adolescents, and young adults. I have honed my skills in a variety of settings, including education, teaching, counseling, leadership, community outreach, and social justice.
